A. Le Coq Moonsund regatta is the largest and oldest sailing competition in Estonia and we invite all competitors and sea lovers to participate. Here are all the ways you can follow the race from the first preparations to the medal ceremony.

To keep up to date with all the latest news, follow the regatta on Facebook on the regatta’s general page and sign up to this year’s event. You can also join the Muhu Väina regati PURJETAJAD / Moonsund regatta’s SAILORS group on Facebook, where sailors can also communicate with each other and where notifications will be better received on your phone.

Among all the social media posts made by the sailors, a prize will also be awarded at the prize-giving ceremony of each stage to the team that has made the best post with @muhuvainaregatt and #muhuväinaregatt.

Follow the regatta’s Instagram account to share the emotions of the competitors. Each day of the race, one of the competing teams will take over the regatta account – if this could be your team, let the organisers know (Piret or Sigrid).

A prize will also be awarded for the team with the best social media post at the awards ceremony for each stage, for the team with the best social media post.

A. Le Coq Moonsund regatta photographer is Janis Spurdzins. Photos are available for download and for your personal use, please credit the author and the A. Le Coq Moonsund Regatta. For any suggestions for collaboration, please contact Janis directly – contact details can be found on his website.

A large gallery of photos can be found on Flickr, where an album has been created for each day. You don’t need to be logged in to view the photos.

A selection of photos is up on Facebook, where there is an album for each day. You don’t need to be logged in to view the photos.

Videos are available to watch on the A. Le Coq Moonsund regatta playlist on Facebook. All the morning skippers’ meetings will be broadcast live on Facebook (login is not neccessary), with a live link sent to the WhatsApp group in the morning.

If social media isn’t your cup of tea, you can keep an eye on the day’s highlights in the regatta news.

We have installed a tracking device on all boats, which allows you to follow the competitors’ movements on the race course in real time. Tracking partner is TracTrac and each stage can be tracked here.

The regatta will receive coverage in both local and international media – we will keep adding links to the news block.

To provide sailors with information, we have created a WhatsApp group where the Race Committee will share information, but other members of the group will not be able to post messages there.

We will post a notification when something is added to the Official Notice Board on Manage2Sail, but also let you know what time the awards ceremony will take place in the evening and any other information you need to know.

The official noticeboard for sailors can be found on Manage2Sail here.

All the regatta’s marinas are open to family, friends and all people interested in sailing. Each evening after the race, there will be a prize-giving ceremony in the regatta marina for the winners of the day – we will post information about the caterers, events and vendors on our website under the shore programme.

In the last marina of the regatta, the winners will be awarded immediately after the last race. A fun tradition is to throw the captain of the winning boat into the water!

Come and be part of the sailors’ biggest event of the season!
